Chef Shaunarae
“I’ve always loved cooking and sharing great food
with others” is simply a reality that has shaped the
personal and professional life of accomplished Chef Shaunarae
Hawkesworth. Early in life, this native Floridian and avid
traveler gained an appreciation for the textures, colors and,
best of all, the savory flavors of culinary delights across
the globe.
Her fervor propelled her to earn a Bachelor of Science degree
in Hospitality Management from Florida International University
and subsequently lead her to success in a hotel management
role at the acclaimed Delano in Miami’s South Beach.
A few years later, her fervor for cooking and entertaining
took-over and Shaurarae moved along to the culinary world
at sea. Her drive to continue advancing steered her to New
York City where she furthered her skills, attaining a degree
in Culinary Arts from the Institute of Culinary Education.
Shaunarae
has held culinary posts on numerous vessels in the world-renown
yachting industry, including roles on Meduse, Fortunate Sun,
and Little Sis. In 2002, Chef Shaunarae reclaimed her South
Florida roots on land, launching the full-service catering
company — Rae’s Culinary Creations — where
she continues to fuel her passion for creating and sharing
delectable cuisine.
